The two main events on the day are the “Brute to Ute” dog race and the “Canine Catwalk” parade.

The Brute to Ute dog race is an elimination style 100m dash down a straight course (two lanes of orange safety mesh) and then jumping up into the back of a Ute. The ultimate winner of this event will be crowned the Howlong Hownd. The Canine Catwalk is a series of parades with categories for all doggie types.
