The feature event of Street Feast is the annual ‘Long Lunch’ which is set amongst the avenue of shady trees lining Louee Street Rylstone. Children are welcome and will love the supervised “Circus School”, jumping castle, face painting and other kid-friendly activities.

This leaves the grown-ups free to peruse the markets stalls or sample the fine regional wines on offer before settling in for the gourmet four-course lunch created by acclaimed local Chef Rachel McCarthy using only the freshest seasonal, local produce.

A wide variety of entertainment is offered throughout the afternoon making StreetFeast a fabulous family friendly day out. As always there’s plenty to see and do with Market stalls offering an abundance of art, craftworks, clothing, produce and local wares. Bag a bargain or find a treasure!

Food stalls will cater those who choose not to participate in the Long Lunch so stroll around the markets, join the festivities and then maybe dine at a local pub or café – the entertainment and stalls are there for everyone!

Live music will feature all afternoon on centre-stage throughout the Long Lunch and then afterwards from 5pm in the Beer garden of the historic Globe Hotel. Stay on for a quick and tasty dinner and really make a day of it!

If you’re not stopping for lunch you can still take part in all the other activities surrounding the Rylstone Street Feast including the Hill Top Arts, live entertainment, stalls, tasting of local wines and produce, kids activities and there is also the option of enjoying lunch at the Globe Hotel which is situated right in the middle of where all the action is.
