Always wanted to form a band, but not sure where to start? Our week-long holiday workshop will have you starting a band with other young rockers your own age who share your musical interests, and gaining insight into the inner workings of setting up and performing with a live band. You’ll receive focused, professional tuition on playing music, and learn the skills of on-stage sound management and performance. January 2015 includes a song-writing workshop with Julia Johnson from award-winning band, Julia & the Deep Sea Sirens.

Enjoy daily jam sessions as you workshop your songs for the two live performance opportunities: a showcase concert for family and friends at CIT Woden, followed by a performance at the National Multicultural Festival!

WHEN: Tuesday 27th – Friday 30th January, 9am-4pm daily, final performance 5:30pm Friday 30th January. National Multicultural Festival performance Sunday 15th February 2015.
WHERE: CIT Woden campus, Music department (160 Ainsworth St, Phillip)

Please note, participants must be available for all dates so complete bands can perform both shows.
