11.2 metres underground, in a 100 year old mine, subterranean tunnels open into vast chambers. Walls are decorated with the hand carvings of artist Ron Canlin, the owner of this uniquely Australian attraction.

Chambers of the Black Hand is both a collection of hand carvings and an informative and entertaining tour of an old opal mine.

Trevor Hudson’s guided tours combine his enthusiasm for opal mining with Ron’s passion for carving. Complete your visit by calling in on Trevor & Cheryl Hudson’s Black Opal Jewelry Shop – also uniquely located 11.2 metres underground.

Tour Times and Prices

8.00am Group booking only by prior arrangement

10.30 am FULL TOUR: carvings and mine approx 2 hours, courtesy vehicle available for pickups $30.00 per person. Carving olny $25.00

1.00pm Group booking only by prior arrangement

3pm FULL TOUR: carvings and mine, approx. 2 hours courtesy vehicle available for pick ups. Carvings only $25.00
$30.00 per person Children $10.00 per child Free under 6

Most morning tours you will find Ron down in the carving level creating something new and he always loves a chat.

Guests are welcome to use cameras and we also will pick you up from your Accommodation, we then take you back to your accommodation after the tour

Students to 16 yrs $10.00 each, children under the age of 6 FOC.
