Description
As well as workshops, we have other fun activities on offer such as our Holiday Program:
The Aboriginal Cultural Centre & Keeping Place (ACCKP) runs activities for primary school children during school holidays. The program consists of either fun or/and Aboriginal cultural activities that run for 1 week of each of the holidays. This program is open to all children (Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal) of primary school age. There is no cost involved. Cost for the activities, materials, instructor/s, supervision and morning tea is borne by the ACCKP. Morning tea is usually fruit, hot food (eg hot pies, spring roll, sausage rolls, etc), a sweet food (eg. lamingtons, cake or biscuits) and juice. The ACCKP Holiday Program is funded by DoCS. Due to funding constraints, places are limited so booking is essential. The program is run from 9am to 12 noon.

The Centre runs workshops for schools and clubs and organisations through the year where people are exposed to Aboriginal culture through interesting activities which include a tour of the Centre, Aboriginal painting, boomerang throwing, face painting using orche, objects making with Aboriginal tools, jewellery, bush tucker walk and Aboriginal dreamtime story.
