Family Day Care

Registered, qualified Family Day Care Educators provide a range of care options in their homes for children aged 0-13years.

Full time, part time, casual care,occasional care, overnight and weekend care is available.

Educators are supported  by early childhood, business and administration staff employed by the Coordination Unit..

Family Day Care provides flexible, affordable child care. The cost of care is subsidised for families with Child Care Benefit entitlement.

• Children have opportunities to learn through play and exploration in a small, secure group.
• Experiences are tailored to suit each child’s individual needs and interests.
• Children have the opportunity to learn important social skills
• The Coordination Unit hosts regular playsessions. Families and Educators are welcome to attend.

After School and Vacation Care is provided by our service through Sandon Public School. After School Care is provided until 6pm during school terms and Vacation care operates between 8am and 6pm during school holidays.

Children enjoy a balance of structured and non-structured play opportunities including sports and games, excursions, creative activities, reading and free play.

There is a pick up service from most local schools.

In-Home Care

Armidale & District Family Day Care is an In-Home care provider.

In- Home care enables families to access child care where other child care services are unable to meet their needs e.g.

• The family work shift work or non-standard hours
• The family live in a rural or remote area
• The child has an illness or disability
• One of the parents has an illness or disability that reduces the family’s capacity to care for the child/ren
• The family have had a multiple birth (more than two)
