Regular Programs

We are leaders in children’s martial arts education in Canberra who have been providing quality martial arts programs for 11 years.

There are 4 different regular children’s programs based on age groups:
Bunyips for 3-5yrs,
Wallaroos for 5-8yrs,
Falcons for 9-12yrs, and
Teens for 13-17yrs.

Each program is tailored for the developmental abilities of that age group.
Our regular programs operate during the ACT school term.
Classes 6 days a week: Sat Morn & Sun Aft, Mon-Thurs after school, some classes are early, some late.
We have three different reasonable payment options available and offer FANTASTIC FAMILY DISCOUNTS for 2 or more members of the same family.
We pioneered the Parents’N’Kids martial arts training concept in Canberra. Parents can train in adult training sessions at the same time as some of our children’s classes.
All ASD instructors have their working with vulnerable children check and up-to-date first aid qualification as well as instructor qualifications.

We also offer a FREE INTRODUCTORY LESSON (no obligation)in one of our regular classes.

Call us to make an appointment to come down to our full time centre in MITCHELL (unit 4, 47-49 Vicars St) and we can give you an introductory pack with a calendar and fees schedule.

Our regular classes build resilient, confident and fit children who pack an arsenal of safe practices into their everyday skill-set.

School Holidays

We also offer a 2 day School Holiday Martial Arts Program each ACT school holidays called ACTION KIDS. The program is for primary age children.
These fill quickly with repeat customers (ie happy students) and we have a cap on student numbers so book in fast to avoid disappointment.
Cost is $70 a day, 9am to 3.30pm.
For secondary aged children we offer an afternoon workshop, ASD Urban Survival for Teens. This is very popular. For more information please call us on 0403130975.

In School Programs
For primary schools we offer an in-school program called ASD Safe Kids. This focuses on all the pre-physical elements of self defence and staying safe and teaches vital escape techniques once a child finds themselves in that situation.
In secondary schools we offer our ASD Urban Survival program for Teens. This popular course teaches teens skills that are potentially life-saving.
