The Channon Market has always strived be more than just a market by trying our best to entertain our visitors. We have our ‘band of the day’ playing from the main oval. The band of the day allows visitors to experience some of our regions best local bands while over at the Chai Tent we have our buskers stage. This second stage allows the best of our local solo or duo acts to entertain the crowds.

As well as the two stages, the market place is always littered with talented performers who all add to the colourful atmosphere of the market place. If you enjoy their performance try to reward them for their efforts either with a gold coin or one of the buskers tokens you received when you entered the market.

Then there’s the kids. The permanent playground is always a favourite, as is the candle making. Weather permitting we have bouncy castles and a giant inflatable worm for the kids to run off some steam. Finally you can always find a face painter, hair braider or henna tattoo artist to give the kids something to remember about The Channon Craft Market

Last but not least – if you are willing to stay until the end of the market you will be treated to the infamous Channon Market drum circle. This drum circle is like no other in Australia, with many a drummer coming from all over the Northern Rivers to rattle out tribal beats and dance the night away.
