If you are a parent – from any walk of life – the First Touch Program will support you to experience the many benefits and joys of using gentle touch, infant massage, and many other forms of communication with your baby. The benefits of the First Touch program have been fully researched and range from improved sleep, less crying, improved confidence and a smoother transition through each developmental phase.

The First Touch Program is as unique as you and your baby (medical researchers consider it the “Gold Standard” and highest quality program of its kind in the world). Suzy Wolanski is a fully Certified Instructor with IAIM Australia, delivering the First Touch Program to families in the Eastern Suburbs and Inner West areas of Sydney.

The First Touch Program consists of four sessions – each lasting 1 – 1 ½ hours. In each relaxed session you’ll have the chance to learn many different ways of using infant massage and other forms of touch, and we will help you gain confidence in using your voice, movement and other ways of communicating with your baby. Because our group sizes are strictly limited to a small number, Suzy will take the time to get to know you and your baby as individuals and will give you the in-depth, one-on-one attention and time that you both deserve.

Suzy welcomes all parents and babies (aged from birth to 6 months) in her class and is trained to adapt the First Touch Program to suit the individual needs of you and your baby. This includes if your baby:

• is healthy and thriving
• had a rough start
• doesn’t like to be touched or cuddled
• is squirmy or wriggly
• has additional needs (for whatever reason)
• was born prematurely

Twins (triplets and more!) are welcome, as are all parents (birth parents, adoptive parents, foster parents, grandparents). The First Touch Program is a wonderful way to meet others and, because groups are small, it an ideal way to get out of the house if you are feeling a bit low, isolated or overwhelmed. In addition, Suzy’s groups are set up so that you won’t miss out if your baby needs to cry, eat or sleep during the sessions.
