Be sure to stop by the Lightning Ridge Visitor Information Centre with the entire family! Our friendly staff and volunteers will help you plan your stay in our great town by arming you with information on all the tours, attractions, accommodation houses, places to eat, art galleries, drives and everything and anything else you may need to know.

Peruse our great selection of souvenirs, books, local produce and aboriginal artefacts. Grab a hot chocolate or coffee to enjoy while the kids devour an ice cream and go hunting for opals on our FREE fossicking heap.

Bring your lunch and enjoy it in the park at our picnic tables – you can even bring a BBQ pack and cook it as a family on our FREE BBQs.

Then you can walk your lunch off by strolling through the FREE gardens at the end of the Lions Park – be sure to read all the signage and learn about all of the native species!

If your done with snacking, fossicking, the gardens, play equipment and have purchased your souvenirs and are armed with all the information you can handle – then your set to get out and about and enjoy all our town has to offer!
