Newcastle Surf School run a targeted program called SurfGroms it is a national junior development program for 5-12 yrs old to encourage kids to participate in surfing around Australia.

SurfGroms is only available through Surfing Australia surf schools in which Newcastle Surf School is delighted to be delivering at Nobbys Beach and Blacksmiths Beach.

SurfGroms will consist of 8/12 hours of beach, ocean awareness and safe surf activities, with surfing levels 1 to 5as you progress. SurfGroms have two age’s groups MiniGroms 5-8yrs old and SuperGroms 9-12yrs old, this program is run after school, weekends and all through the school holidays.

We also do our normal group lesson which are $40.00 and go for two hours.

The school operates out of two great locations Nobbys beach and Blacksmiths Beach all year round for daily lessons. We are a permanent fixture at both beaches throughout the N.S.W school holidays

The lessons include, soft, safe, surfboards, wetsuits and sunshirts all you need to bring along is a towel, sunscreen, swimmers and an adventurous spirit.

We also do birthday parties for the kids where the birthday boy/girl comes for free.

Private lessons are also offered, they cost $70 and go for 90 mins. These lessons are made to suit your needs.
