Port Macquarie Baptist Playtime Group

18 McIntyre Close – runs on a Monday morning 9.30-11.30am.The cost is $3.50 each week. It is run well by members of our church who set up, provide the morning tea and organise the morning. It has a free playtime with toys, playdough, painting and craft on a theme. Morning tea is at 10.30 and we sit down together teaching the children to sit and eat together. This is a good preparation for Preschool and school. Outside play with a playground, hoops, balls and ride on bikes is until 11.10 and after that is a story and music time. Here the children are encouraged to sit with their parents and enjoy singing and moving together. We use piano and percussion instruments and CD’s in the music time. What a good preparation for school!

Playgroup is for everyone, mums, dads, Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles with their children aged between baby and 5 years old. Parents are meeting others who are in a similar situation as them.

It runs during the School Terms of 10 weeks.

Girl’s Friendship Club

Another activity of our Port Macquarie Baptist Church, 18 McIntyre Close Port Macquarie. It runs Monday Afternoons from when the Girl’s school finishes until 5.30. It is run with Leaders from our church and it is an action packed afternoon. The cost is $5.00 each week.

We have afternoon tea . Often we have a craft and some games. Sometimes we do some dancing or singing. We always have a short Bible story where we listen and do an activity with it.

The theme this Term is on some of the Fruits of the Spirit: Love, joy, peace, patience and self control. We will make cards, bookmarks, posters on these themes.

At the end we sample our food and /or take it home.
