Family pass concessions are available and tickets are valid for two consecutive day visits.

Transport available for experiencing the Zoo included bike and electric cart hire alternatively you can bring your own bikes, walk or even drive your car around the circuit. There are many great places to picnic in the grounds or you can grab a bite to eat at Bakhita’s Cafe. Before entering the Zoo take some time to take in the Savannah Visitor Plaza free access area where the kids can run wild in the playground or sit back and watch the antics of the Primates for free.

Taronga Western Plains Zoo offers a number of free keeper talks throughout the day which provides a great oportunity to ask questions and see the animals at feed time. There is also a range of animal encounters available at an additional charge including the opportunity to feed a Giraffe or big cat!

The Zoo is appropriate for all ages with something for everyone from a playground for the young members of the family through to a self guided tour of the Zoo for teenagers and adults.

Taronga Western Plains Zoo is open from 9am – 4pm every day of the year including Christmas Day.
