With a National Parks ECO-PASS The School of Yak is proud that we are the only licensed operator to conduct Kayak Tours in the Hunter Wetlands National Park. Join our guide and hear stories about the history of the Hunter River as we take you on a wonderful paddling journey into this magnificent RAMSAR listed wetlands. As you serenely paddle through the creeks and ancient mangrove forests it is hard to believe you are only 5klms from Newcastle. At The School of Yak we conduct kayak tours and training programs on beautiful Lake Macquarie all year round. You can participate in a kayak tour or why not take a private lesson on the Lake to learn the skills and safety procedures all paddlers need to be safe on the water.
